How to sell

First, decide what type of seller you want to become. The Premium handmade shop and Gold Merchant shop offers new and seasoned online sellers all the perks for creating a successful Daisy Craft store.

Second, decide on a user-name. It is highly recommended that your username is the name of your online store. It will be less confusing for marketing your site and for buyers trying to find you online.

Third, in order to sell on Daisy Craft you must create and maintain an active PayPal account. A PayPal account is required to receive payment for your sales.

What to sell and what not to sell

This is a site for all items hand-made, hand-crafted or produced or altered creatively by you. You can also sell your arts and craft supplies--handmade or commercial. There is no selling of multi-level marketing products permitted on this site. For more information or questions, please contact info@daisycraft.com.

Listing Fees

All listing fees are created equal. All listings are currently FREE on Daisy Craft. Yes, we said, FREE!

How long are items posted for on Daisy Craft?

Items listed on Daisy Craft will be listed on the Web site for as long as you want. Just make sure your account is active. If we notice that you aren't logging in for long periods of time, adding new products and so forth, we will try to notify you that your items may be deleted. There is no limit to how many items you can post; however, keeping listed items current helps the overall value for your store and the Web site and gives new options to keep customers returning.

Selling Fees

Daisy Craft has chosen to use PayPal for our online payment method. It is the safest way to complete online transactions. Most buyers and sellers already have established PayPal accounts which will make it easier for transactions. You must create a PayPal account prior to selling. You must provide your PayPal e-mail account in order to be paid.
Each item sold through daisycraft.com will be charged a 5% sales fee.

How to create a store

Opening a shop on Daisy Craft is a two-step process:
1. Create an account on the Web site
2. Choose which store level you'd like to be from the "Open A Store" icon on the Home Page. You must complete the PayPal transaction to finish this step.
Here are the various store options for Daisy Craft:

Handmade Shops~
The Premium Store is $64.95 a year. This store includes a number of perks to help jump-start and market your business and have a prime location on our site. (See “Store Biz” and User Agreement below)
The Standard Store is $5.95 a month and includes a limited number of perks. This is the best option offered if you want to grow your business over time.
The Free Store is that--free to create.

Merchant Shops~
Gold Merchant is $89.95 a year. Check below for ALL the amazing features for this account.
Silver Merchant is $64.95 a year. Check below for ALL the amazing features for this account.
Bronze Merchant is $24.95 a year. Check below for the great perks for this merchant account.

Talkin’ shop

Each store owner will have their own unique sub-domain. For example, if my username is “AllThingsDenim”—then my sub-domain location is, daisycraft.com/allthingsdenim. This feature will be beneficial to driving traffic to your individual store and help in marketing.

Store Biz

There are several ways to sell on Daisy Craft.

You can create a premium store, standard store or open a free handmade shop. The Handmade shops are for those selling their own unique hand-crafted products. You can also create a Merchant account; gold, silver or bronze. Merchant shops are for those selling raw materials for arts and crafts and digital items. Daisy Craft’s mission is to provide the best resources for our clients. Part of our mission is to help you reach your personal financial goals. Our paying shops receive a variety of “perks.” The perks will change periodically to meet the needs of the store owners. We also offer very affordable marketing materials and packages to help boost your online business.

Handmade shop options:

Premium Shop

The quickest way to kick-off your online store! This store option is packed with a bundle of perks that will surely boost your business from the beginning. The benefits offered to Premium store owners are incalculable.

Ready to start selling? Opening a store on Daisy Craft is a 2-step process:
  1. Open a Store: Once you've submitted your payment for your Daisy Craft store, you will be set up by the Daisy Craft team and e-mailed detailed instructions to start building your online store. If you want both a Hand-made and Merchant Shop, do both PayPal portions for the accounts you want.
  2. Create an Account: You also must create a Daisy Craft account. Try using the same information as your PayPal account. If your usernames and e-mail address are different from your PayPal account and your Daisy Craft account, please let us know so that we can match your payment and Daisy Craft account accurately.

Your information is safe!

The only information you need to provide on Daisy Craft is a valid e-mail address to set up an account. This information is kept safe and will NEVER be sold or released to anyone under any circumstances. All your personal information for creating a store account is handled through the most secure online payment site, PayPal. You have no need to fear!

Can I post other site links in my store?

Daisy Craft prohibits the use of links to other sites, blogs, stores etc. in product listings and on store pages. We do offer marketing tools that we can customize for you to link directly to your Daisy Craft store.

All store pages and product listings will be monitored closely to make sure each seller is in compliance. If we have notify and remove links for individual stores on a repeated basis, we may deactivate the account.

What are the rules regarding selling, shipping, returns/exchanges and so on for products purchased on Daisy Craft?

At Daisy Craft, all of our store owners are just that---the owners. You make the decisions for your online store as you would a brick-and-mortar store. Each seller must post their own shop policies clearly in their stores. Policies we suggest that you cover in your store are: shipping, returns, exchanges, sale items, payment types accepted, custom orders and so on. Remember, as the store owner, you are to abide by the policies you set and you are solely responsible for enforcing the policies you create. Daisy Craft does reserve the right to ask that store owners modify their shop policies if they seem unfair, misleading or other factors that we see fit to address.

Products should include shipping & handling fees. Make sure you mention this in your store. You are responsible for all shipping aspects of your store. If a customer purchases multiples products from you, consider giving them a bulk shipping rate and work out a discount for them.

It is imperative to have excellent customer service and part of that great service is providing customers all the information they need prior to making a purchase that will help eliminate headaches down the road.

We want buyers to have the best experience possible on Daisy Craft. Failure to post policies may lead to fewer sales.

Feedback System

Daisy Craft offers a simplified version of a feedback system. There are no stars, hearts, smiley faces and so forth to click on. Simply leave a comment on an item posted about your experience in purchasing the product and your customer service experience with the store owner.

Feedback is vital for any successful business. Make sure you follow the Daisy Craft guidelines when posting anywhere on the site. Obscene, vulgarity or other harsh comments will not be tolerated. If you had a bad experience, try working it out with the store owner prior to leaving bad comments; however, always be honest in your experiences. Use good judgment when posting and post like you'd want others to post about you.

I received an e-mail that my product was sold, when do I get paid?

When a customer purchases one of your products, you will receive an e-mail with their information and product order. Once we are notified of your estimated shipping date, the funds will be released to you via your PayPal account. You must ship the order within 14 business days, unless otherwise agreed to between you and the customer more time is needed for custom orders.

Vacation:

If you take a vacation, please send us an e-mail so that we may notify customers that place orders. You also should mention that in your online store of when you will be gone so that people can make purchases accordingly.

How does Daisy Craft market the site?

We are listed with several of the top-producing sites for shopping and are indexed with the largest search engines. We do a host of other marketing through various mediums not stated on this site. We also help to market our standard and premium stores as well as take an active role in the communities of our crafters.

Why are Daisy Craft’s prices so low?

If you compare our prices to other site’s, you will know for yourself that they go unmatched. Others have chosen to charge monthly fees that have limited postings and high commission fees, to charging fees based on what you price your product for with high additional commission fees that leave you with hardly any profit!

We wanted to create a place where crafters can sell their products and actually get a great profit in return. There is no need to nickel-and-dime you to sell your wonderful, unique products.

What is the Daisy Craft Referral Program?

From time to time, we will run a special referral program. We will post information on our site and blog to announce the dates and promotions for the program. We hope that this will generate all the crafters to come and be a part of all the amazing things Daisy Craft offers.

Daisy Craft expects honesty from all buyers and sellers. Here are two rules that sellers must abide by:

1. Each sale on Daisy Craft is binding:

All sales conducted on Daisy Craft are binding. Each seller is required to ship the products to the buyer after the completion of a transaction in prompt manner, unless otherwise agreed to between buyer and seller (such as custom orders). Other exceptions may include, but not limited to, the buyer failing to meet the terms of the seller’s listing, including receiving prompt payment.

Please report misconduct immediately to Daisy Craft.

2. You cannot avoid Daisy Craft transaction and listing fees:

You are prohibited from altering the price once a buyer has made the purchase to avoid Daisy Craft transaction fees. You also may not misrepresent the location the item is to be mailed from to collect higher shipping fees. Sellers may not charge buyers excessive shipping fees, but may charge reasonable shipping and handling fees to cover their costs for packaging and mailing their products. Store owners who repeatedly use bad business tactics such as these may have their accounts permanently deactivated.

Why was my store deactivated?

It is extremely important on Daisy Craft that we offer the best customer service possible to each person that comes to the site—buyers and sellers alike. We will work with store owners on a personal and private level on resolving matters prior to accounts being deactivated. We take reports of fraud, misuse, inappropriate content and products seriously. It is imperative that your contact information is always current with Daisy Craft so that we can resolve issues as they arise to prevent accounts from being closed.

If my store is deactivated do I receive a refund?

If your store is deactivated due to inactivity, fraud, misuse or any other reason deemed inappropriate for Daisy Craft, no refunds will be granted.

No refunds will be granted for those that decide to close their online shops.

Daisy Craft also reserves the right to terminate the services of Daisy Craft without notice.

Tips to creating a successful Daisy Craft shop:

Top Quality Items

We strive to find the best sellers who have the highest quality of products to
sell on this site. Although you may see other shops selling your same item—
your products are unique and hand-crafted by you.

Creating a store name

There are countless opinions on what makes a good store name. If you have
been selling with another name on other sites, first try to use that as your username. Try not

to make your store name too long, it’s easier to remember if it is shorter or
try a name that relates to your product or is easy to brand. Be sure to
double-check your spelling before submitting your registration. Usernames
cannot be changed once they have been submitted.

Inventory

If you are just testing the waters of online selling and only have a few items
to sell—ask for feedback. Consumers can help you create ideas. So many people don't have the time or ability to create--
they'll be happy to share ideas of what they're searching for specifically. Provide custom order options in your store to help with this.

If you have a greater inventory and variety be sure to let your customers know on your store page. You’ll
want to make sure you always track your inventory to make sure what
you’re selling is actually available. Being prompt with orders will help
increase your positive feedback.

If you make your product to order, remember to note that in your
description so that they buyer can be aware of that up-front.

How to write a good description

No one knows your product like you do. It is hand-crafted by you and you
are the only one that can best describe it to the world. Write out several
possible descriptions; be sure to include how long you’ve been making this
item, what inspires you to create it, if the product has a story, what
materials you used to make it with, and the dimensions and so on. Write just
enough to give the buyer the best information possible, but not too long
where they’ll fall asleep reading it.

Take a good picture

Photography is the window to your online store. Make sure you take the time
to get the best photographs of your products. Since purchases are made
online, you have to sell your products by having a quality photo and a great
product description. Make sure your photos are in-focus, check the settings,
lighting and the composition of your photograph. Be as creative as you can
be to capture the best images of your products. Don’t be afraid to be unique
with your pictures—unique is what crafters are all about.

How to add personality to your store

As you add products and edit your personal store page, you will notice a link found under the description to body box that says "Input format." When you click on this link, you will have two options: Filtered HTML or Full HTML.
HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language and is used as the programming language for creating Web site content. To see what this looks like, visit any Web site page, click on "View" and scroll down to "Page Source." The HTML code for that Web page will pull up--- it looks like computer nerd hieroglyphics.
You can use HTML codes to help add personality to your Store pages and products. If you're not familiar with how all of this works, there are Web sites that can provide free tips.

Terms and Conditions

1. Daisy Craft is an online venue

Daisy Craft acts as an online venue to permit users who abide by Daisy Craft’s policies to offer, sell, and buy certain handmade goods within a fixed price format. You, the store owner, agree that Daisy Craft is an online venue and as such is not responsible or liable for any content, for example, text, usernames, profiles, images, photographs, graphics, items, and links posted by you, other users, or outside parties on Daisy Craft. You use the Daisy Craft Web site service at your own risk.

2. Seller Eligibility

Age requirement: Daisy Craft’s services are only available to persons who are 18-years-old and older who can form and comply with legally binding contracts under applicable law. Individuals under the age of 18 can only use the services on the Web site only with and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The adult, in this case, is considered the user and is responsible for all activites.

Laws: Each registered user agrees to comply with all local laws pertaining to all applicable taxes. Daisy Craft does not give advice, counsel or collect taxes on behalf of individual stores and purchases. You also agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content posted by you.

Account/Store information: You are responsible and required to keep all your account information current and accurate at all times. We communicate with store owners via e-mail and it is imperative that you keep your e-mail address current.

Password: Each registered user is fully responsible for keeping their password secure. It is your responsibility that you report any unauthorized use of your password immediately to Daisy Craft. If you feel your password has been tampered, fill out a password change form immediately on the Web site.

Store account transfer: Daisy Craft does not allow users to transfer accounts and user IDs to another party at any time. Once an account has been created and deleted, the same account cannot be re-established.

3. User fees and termination:

Daisy Craft retains the right to cancel, delete and close accounts that are inactive or unconfirmed without notice. If Daisy Craft terminates your account, or if you close your account, or if the payment of Daisy Craft fees cannot be completed for any reason, you are still required to pay for all unpaid Daisy Craft fees, plus any penalties and interest that may apply.

4. Resolution disputes:

If you have a dispute regarding Daisy Craft, contact us directly. If you have disputes between one or more users, you release Daisy Craft, as well as Daisy Craft owners, employees and so on, from any and all claims, any damages or demands of every kind, disclosed or undisclosed. Daisy Craft may try to help resolve disputes; however, Daisy Craft will do so in its sole discretion and has no obligation of any kind to resolve disputes between users. Daisy Craft will never make judgments regarding legal issues or claims.

5. Web site function:

Daisy Craft does not guarantee the continuous, uninterrupted access to the Web site due various factors that may be out of Daisy Craft’s control. All Web site related issues pertaining to the site’s proper function will be handled as quickly as permitted.

It provides one of the most secure methods for buyers and sellers to use a credit card or their bank account to submit payments for products purchased online at Daisy Craft. Daisy Craft is not affiliated with or subsidized by PayPal; we use them as a secure independent financial source for online transactions.

How do I open a PayPal account?

You will need to go to www.paypal.com and register. PayPal requires anyone selling goods on the Web to have a Premier or Business account.

Do I need a PayPal account to sell on Daisy Craft?

Yes, this is how Daisy Craft communicates with the sellers of transactions that occur and how money is transmitted. Until we add other methods, this is required for all sellers. Buyers have the option of having accounts with PayPal. The majority of online buyers already has PayPal accounts and will be more than happy that this option exists for them!

Some of my Daisy Craft customers don’t have PayPal accounts. Can they just use a credit card to buy?

Buyers can submit secure payments by credit card through PayPal without being registered or have a PayPal account. You may want to mention this in your store policies.

Daisy Craft began as a home-based card-making business that developed after trying to find additional income avenues for the family. After trying other various Web sites for selling items, I quickly became discouraged by how my products were lost amid the thousands of other similar products and how I was being charged fee after fee for selling (or trying to sell) my products. As a crafter, I understand first-hand the small profit margin generally made from selling hand-crafted, quality items. Paying fee after fees chipped away at any profit I made. Frustration turned to action and the idea of creating an online venue for real people by an actual crafter was born.

Daisy Craft is an all-encompassing online site that allows people the ability to buy, sell and create various forms of hand-crafted art. Daisy Craft provides an outlet for people to set up their own virtual stores to sell the items that they make or produce or alter by hand—whether it’s jewelry, photography, digital scrapbooking, vinyl lettering, quilts and so on. It was extremely important to me that I offer several levels of service. My number one goal in creating the site was to offer a place where people can sell their items without spending any money upfront. Although, I have been counseled against this from financial advisors, it has remained a very important aspect for me for the site. The only fees associated with this site are those that help the store owners reach higher business goals and success. I make sure that everything is incredibly affordable.
